Course description:

APT Firearms Academy's Tactical Handgun I Course is designed for the beginner, seasoned veteran, and anyone in between.  This course will teach and reinforce the fundamentals of shooting a handgun at a defensive distance.  The course begins in the classroom where we train the mind in self-defense, then we move to the range where we train the body in practical skill sets that will enhance the student’s survival capabilities when faced with a life-threatening situation.

 

This is a Missouri P.O.S.T. approved course

• Shooting stance

• Grip

• Sight alignment

• Trigger press

• Draw stroke

• Loading

• Reloading technique

• Malfunction clearing

• Use of cover

• Multiple threat engagement

 

Equipment needed:

• Handgun

• 500 rounds of ammunition

• Belt, holster, and magazine pouches

• Minimum of 3 magazines / speed loaders

• Hearing & eye protection

• Hat

• Note taking material

• Sack lunch
