Course description:

APT Firearms Academy's Street Level Hostage Rescue Course has been designed to instruct both law enforcement and civilians on how to save someone in a hostage situation.  Tactical resolution skills along with precision shooting skills and drills will be taught and practiced in order to solve an active hostage crisis.  Other topics to be covered in this class are as follows:

• Types of hostage takers

• The mind of a hostage taker

• Hostage and rescuer’s physiology and psychology

• Visual and audio stimuli

• Verbal skills

• Precision shooting skills and drills

• Tactical resolution skills

• Legal issues

• Pistol

• Concealment holster

• Magazine pouch

• 3 magazines

• 400 rounds of ammunition

• Hearing and eye protection

• Concealment garment
