Course Description

APT Firearms Academy’s SLR / Patrol Rifle One-Day Course is designed to give students practical, real-world training in the effective use of a self-loading rifle for defensive and patrol applications. Whether for personal defense, duty use, or preparedness, this course builds the skills needed to run a rifle with confidence and control.

Training covers common platforms including the AR-15, AK, M1A, Mini-14, and similar rifles, with an emphasis on proper setup, safe handling, and efficient operation.

Students will focus on core rifle fundamentals, target engagement at varying distances, and applying those skills in realistic shooting scenarios. This is not just a fundamentals class—it’s about learning how to use the rifle effectively when it matters.

By the end of the course, students will leave with:
