Course description:

APT Firearms Academy's Pistol Stabilizer Deployment One-Day Course is designed to instruct students on the deployment and utilization of the friction-held pistol stabilizer.  Concealed carry techniques as well as off-body carry methods will be covered.  

 

Students will learn the basics of incorporating the pistol stabilizer into their defensive tactics while exploring different methods and styles.

At the end of this course, students will have a greater understanding of how to confidently carry and deploy the pistol stabilizer in conjunction with their firearm.  They will also have developed a foundational knowledge base for shooting with confidence from various positions.

 

Topics covered:

• Proper holster position to accommodate the pistol stabilizer

• Strategies for drawing from the friction held stock in multiple settings

• Developing the necessary skills to effectively draw and deploy the pistol stock

• Deploying from a briefcase, sling pack, or backpack

 

Equipment needed:

• Double stack pistol

• 400 rounds of ammunition

• Holster and magazine pouch

• Friction-held pistol stabilizer (available in our Proshop)

• Small backpack or sling pack

• Knee pads

• Vest or lightweight jacket

• Eye and ear protection

• Note taking material

• Sack lunch
