Course Description:

The Pistol Caliber Carbine Course delivers the core skills of our two-day program in a streamlined, one-day format for students with limited time. Training focuses on practical, hands-on techniques needed to run a pistol caliber carbine effectively.

Adapted from our Submachine Gun Course and designed for semi-automatic carbines, instruction is efficient, focused, and tailored to the experience level of the class to ensure maximum benefit from a single day of training.

 

This is a Missouri P.O.S.T. approved course

Topics covered:

  • Proper stance

  • Sight picture

  • Loading & unloading

  • Stoppage clearance

  • Transitions

  • Use of force
     

Equipment needed:

  • Rifle suggestions:  AR-9mm, AR-22, Kel-Tec SUB-2000, Beretta Storm, CZ Scorpion, Marian Camp Rifle, etc.

  • 400 rounds of ammunition for carbine

  • Tactical sling (the APT Pro Shop sells some for the Kel-Tec SUB-2000 and Colt)

  • Pistol

  • 100 rounds of ammunition for the pistol

  • Belt, holster, magazine pouches

  • Minimum of 3 magazines/speed loaders

  • Hearing and eye protection

  • Hat

  • Foul weather gear

  • Sack lunch
