Night Fighter II Course (Use of Night Vision)

LENGTH OF COURSE:  2 days (12 hours)

TUITION:  $650 without P.O.S.T. credits (L.E.)

                         $675 with P.O.S.T. credits (L.E.)

 

Course description:

APT Firearms Academy's Night Fighter II Course is a two-day shooting course designed for the advanced shooter.  The student's current skillsets will be evaluated, corrected, and enhanced allowing each student to perform at their optimal ability.  Students in this class will engage targets from 2 yards to 150 yards.

This is a Missouri P.O.S.T. approved course

Prerequisite:  Night Fighter I

 

Topics covered:

  • Shooting and moving

  • Communication with team members

  • Accuracy standards enforced

  • Positive identification enforced

  • Shooting under stress

  • Reaction to white light

  • Laser down drills

  • FLIR

 

Equipment needed:

  • Night vision device (PVS-14 or similar)

  • Helmet for mounting NVGs

  • IR lasers and illuminator

  • All night vision equipment required from previous course

  • Rifle - 5.56  

  • 1000 rounds of 5.56 ammunition

  • NO M855 or any other type of steel core ammunition

  • Minimum of 4 magazines

  • Weapon light

  • Red dot and/or illuminated scope preferred

  • Handgun with tritium sights or a red dot

  • 150 rounds of handgun ammunition

  • Knee and elbow pads

  • Gloves

  • Ear and eye protection

  • Body armor (if possessed)

  • Rain and/or cold weather gear

  • Note taking material

  • Food / snacks / water (Please bring your dinner for this class as we will not be leaving the facility.  A refrigerator and microwave is available for your convenience.)
