Course description:
Micro Red Dot Sights (MRDS) are gaining ground in law enforcement equipment issue. More and more agencies and departments are implementing pistol MRDS transition policies. Law enforcement firearms instructors are under increasing pressure to provide transition, as well as ongoing firearms training incorporating MRDS optics systems for duty pistols.
APT Firearms Academy's MRDS Instructor Course is designed to provide law enforcement firearms instructors with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully transition their departments to MRDS optics systems. This course will also provide LEO firearms instructors with the mental and physical skills needed to continue to push their officers to learn to maximize the advantages of the MRDS optics system.
This course will help LEO firearms instructors understand the key elements of designing and implementing an MRDS transition course, provide LEO firearms instructors with working knowledge of MRDS optics systems so they can facilitate the drafting of agency policy, and will serve as a P.O.S.T. certification qualifying LEO instructors to provide training to line agents and officers.
