Course description:

APT Firearms Academy’s Low Light / Night Shooting Course is designed to help students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to safely and effectively operate a handgun in low-light and nighttime conditions.

​

Students will learn techniques for using both handheld and weapon-mounted flashlights while maintaining safe firearm handling practices. The course will also cover reloading, clearing malfunctions, utilizing cover, and movement in reduced-visibility environments.

​

The course concludes with a dynamic “Shoot and Move” practical exercise, allowing students to apply their newly acquired skills in a challenging, realistic training environment.

 
Required Equipment:

• Handgun

• 200 rounds of ammunition

• Sturdy belt, holster, and magazine pouches

• Minimum of three magazines or speedloaders

• Hearing and eye protection

• Flashlight (weapon-mounted and handheld)

• Weather-appropriate clothing and personal comfort gear (“snivel gear”)

• Sack lunch
