Course description:
APT Academy’s Fighting from a Disabled Vehicle / Advanced Pistol Course prepares students to counter a vehicle-based ambush when escape is no longer possible and the vehicle is no longer mobile.
This course covers how to fight from inside the vehicle, work around it, and break contact to move away from it under threat. Students will learn how to exfiltrate a disabled vehicle under fire while engaging assailants, using proper angles, movement, cover, and concealment.
Training includes reverse bounding, peeling, buddy-down concepts, team tactics, handgun employment, and verbal skills, with a strong emphasis on decision-making and communication under stress. This is a physically and mentally demanding course designed for both civilian defenders and law enforcement personnel.
Students should expect to spend a full day on the range and should arrive with their full kit.
Prerequisite for this course is the Tactical Handgun I Course
