Pick Up Gun - Pistol TUITION:  $250

** NOTE:  APT will provide the pick up gun ammo you will use during this course.  Expect to reimburse APT up to $150 for pick up gun RIFLE ammunition OR up to $85 for pick up gun PISTOL ammunition.  The amount owed will depend on the amount of ammunition you use in the pick up guns during class.** 

 

Course description:

Imagine you find yourself in a fight for your life.  Because you are a law abiding citizen, your gun is in your car, but the fight is on.  Someone goes down right in front of you.  You are able to get to the gun they dropped, but can you really make it work when your life depends on it?  Are you able to fight with that pick up gun?

APT Firearms Academy's Street Survival - Battlefield Pick Up Course will increase the student's ability to adapt to the demands of real life defensive scenarios, enhance their skillsets, and challenge their abilities under duress.  Students will be given the opportunity to shoot, move, communicate, and problem solve with a variety of unfamiliar handguns or rifles.  Students will be exposed to and train with handguns or rifles having different actions, triggers, and locking/unlocking mechanisms than what they are accustomed to using.

 

Topics covered:

• Real life defensive scenarios

• How to react in life and death situations

• Using unfamiliar handguns OR rifles

• Problem solving under pressure

 

Equipment needed for Rifle Course:

• Battlefield pickup guns will be provided by APT (Note:  you will reimburse APT for ammunition provided by APT for use in the pick up guns)

• SLR / Patrol Rifle

• 300 rounds of ammunition for YOUR rifle

• 100 rounds of .223 ammunition

• Plate carrier and at least 3 magazines

• Athletic / outdoor shoes and clothing

• Hat, eye & ear protection, gloves

• Folding chair

Equipment needed for Pistol Course:

• Battlefield pick up guns will be provided by APT (Note:  you will reimburse APT for ammunition provided by APT for use in the pick up guns)

• Handgun

• 300-400 rounds of ammunition for YOUR handgun

• 10 rounds of .22 long rifle ammo

• Belt, holster, mag pouches, and at least 3 magazines

• Athletic / outdoor shoes and clothing

• Hat, eye & ear protection, gloves

• Folding chair​
