Course description:

Are you interested in a career as a protection specialist?  Are you curious to know what it takes to ensure the physical safety and well being of another person?  Have you been thinking about learning a set of skills used to protect VIPs across the globe, that could also be used right here at home to protect yourself and your loved ones? 

 

APT Firearms Academy's Executive Protection Course (Level I) is designed for those interested in becoming a protection specialist or a public service employee who is tasked with protecting a judge, prosecutor, witness, or other high profile individual.  This course will give the student the beginning developmental skills necessary and a solid understanding of what it takes to protect a VIP.  We will discuss what a protection specialist is, what they do, as well as give a comprehensive look into the protection measures used in keeping a VIP safe.

This class includes strategic information on development in advance work, how to identify specific threats - both known and perceived, as well as close protection security, surveillance, counter surveillance, and much more!

 

*Prerequisite for this course is the Tactical Handgun I Course 

 

This is a Missouri P.O.S.T. approved course

• Note taking materials

• Handgun and holster

• 200 rounds of pistol ammunition

• Knee & elbow pads

• Eye and ear protection

• Vest or light jackets

• Sack lunch
